ในปี 2000 วง U2 กลับมาสู่ความเป็นวงร็อคของตนอีกครั้ง หลังจากอัลบั้มก่อนหน้าที่ทางวงได้ทดลองพาแฟนเพลงทั่วโลกท่องไปกับโลกอิเลคทรอนิคร็อคอันแปลกประหลาด พวกเขากลับเข้าสุ่เกลียว dna เดิมของสมาชิกทั้ง 4 แล้วโลกก็ได้ยินได้ฟัง หนึ่งในเพลงร็อคที่มีท่วงทำนองติดหูที่สุด และเนื้อเพลงที่คอยปลุกปลอบพวกเราทุกคน ให้อย่าเพิ่งสิ้นหวัง แม้ในวันที่หัวใจเธอแตกสลาย ท่ามกลางค่ำคืนอันมืดมิด ขอให้เราจงแข็งแกร่งจากภายใน อดทนที่จะก้าว ก้าวต่อไป

เพราะจงอย่าลืมว่า สิ่งเดียวที่เธอจะต้องไม่มีวันทิ้งออกจากสัมภาระแห่งชีวิตของเธอ ก็คือ ความรัก นอกนั้น สิ่งอื่นนอกนั้น ล้วนมีค่าน้อยและเล็กน้อยไปกว่าความรัก ทั้งหมดทั้งปวง คือสิ่งที่ไม่วันใดวันหนึ่ง เร็วหรือช้า ไม่มันทิ้งตัวเองไปจากเรา เราก็ย่อมต้องจากมันไป
